Designed with a point of view

NEAD was born from a desire to create clothing that feels distinctive yet effortless — pieces that allow women to express their individuality without compromising comfort or ease.

Over the years, the brand has evolved through an exploration of silhouettes, fabrics, prints, embroidery and handcrafted details, creating contemporary ready-to-wear designed to become part of a woman’s everyday wardrobe.

Egyptian heritage, reimagined

Egyptian heritage is an important part of the NEAD design language. Our handwork draws inspiration from the richness of Egyptian visual culture, traditional motifs and craftsmanship, reinterpreting these elements through a contemporary perspective.

Rather than recreating the past, we translate its spirit into modern pieces — allowing heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary fashion to exist naturally together.

Meet the Designer

I’m Nahla El Alfy, an engineer by education, a designer by heart, and a mother of two daughters. I never planned to become a fashion designer, but creativity has always been a part of who I am. Over the years, fashion became my way of expressing what I love, what I believe in, and where I come from. In 2015, I turned that passion into Nahla El Alfy Designs—a brand that feels deeply personal to me.

Being Egyptian is an important part of my creative identity. I find so much beauty in our heritage, from the stories and symbols of ancient Egypt to the warmth, artistry, and craftsmanship that still live in our culture today. I love bringing touches of that heritage into contemporary clothing through handwork, embroidery, and details that feel familiar yet modern.

As a woman and a mother, I design for real life—for the busy mornings, everyday moments, special occasions, resort escapes, and beautiful Ramadan nights. I want every piece to make a woman feel comfortable, confident, feminine, and, most importantly, like herself. For me, fashion has never been only about what we wear. It is about how it makes us feel, the memories we create in it, and the stories we carry with us.
